kagurazaka

Centered around Waseda-dori, the main sloping street, Kagurazaka is where Geisha culture was born, and many Ryotei restaurants serving kaiseki meals (considered the epitome of Japanese cuisine) still operate in the area. A quiet neighborhood and a taste of old shitamachi neighborhood Tokyo, with some burgeoning French influence from the nearby French-Japanese Institute. Be sure to grab a printed map/area guide from one of the vendors near the station.
